JOB DESCRIPTION

Kline is currently seeking full-time consulting and market research professionals, who understand and have an interest in the petroleum industry, to join its Energy Consulting practice as Consultant, serving its global clients. The firm is seeking bright, enthusiastic, hard-working, and flexible individuals with the ability to work effectively across industry sub-segments and service offerings.

As a member of the Energy Consulting Practice, the Consultant’s primary responsibility will be to analyze markets, develop competitive and technical information, and build solid analysis and insights for client engagements, using secondary and primary research. Further, the candidate will be expected to manage his/her own work and support junior as well as senior staff during execution of projects.

As an integral part of the global project team within Kline’s Energy Practice, the applicant will be expected to utilize the best-suited tools to research key markets and to develop strategic recommendations for clients. Position responsibilities include:

  • Conducting primary research with selected industry and regulatory sources
  • Developing and analyzing data
  • Interpreting findings to derive business implications for the client’s decision-making
  • Synthesizing findings and writing concise and logical interim and final client-ready reports and presentations
  • Working constructively with other team members and the project supervisor to meet project goals
  • Presenting findings to clients
  • Providing assistance in business development activities

Consultants must also have the skills necessary to effectively and efficiently search and analyze secondary sources, such as:

  • Business databases
  • Engineering/technical databases
  • Government agency records, including environmental, labor, tax sources
  • Industry studies
  • Patent literature
  • Trade and industry media
  • Other industry/government sources

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates should have at least a Master’s in business management and bachelors in engineering, chemistry, or related science. Candidates with a Chemical engineering background will be preferred. In addition, at least 2 to 3  years of pertinent industry experience in consulting, market research and/or competitive intelligence, or strategic marketing, with excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, is essential.

This position is currently home-office/remote-based but will eventually be based out of Kline’s India offices in either Hyderabad or Gurgaon.
