Job Description:
Kline is currently seeking full-time market research professionals, to join its Energy practice as Project Lead, serving its global clients. The firm is seeking bright, enthusiastic, hard-working, and flexible individuals with the ability to work effectively across industry sub-segments and service offerings.
As a member of the Energy practice, Project Lead’s primary responsibility will be managing and participating in team efforts to deliver projects on time and within budget with high-quality deliverables, which further entail analyzing markets, developing competitive and technical information, and building solid analyses and insights after conducting comprehensive primary and secondary research. Further, the candidate will be expected to mentor and supervise junior staff and support senior staff during the execution of projects.
As an integral part of the global project team within Kline’s Energy practice, the applicant will be expected to utilize the best-suited tools for researching key markets, including:
- Conducting primary research with select industry and regulatory sources
- Developing and analyzing data
- Synthesizing findings and writing concise and logical interim and final reports and presentations
- Working constructively with other team members and Project Manager to meet project goals
- Assisting in the development of project budgets and work plans
Project Leads must also have the necessary skills to effectively and efficiently search and analyze secondary sources, such as:
- Business databases
- Engineering/Technical databases
- Government agency records, including environmental, labor, and tax sources
- Industry studies
- Patent literature
- Trade and industry media
- Other industry/government sources
Job Requirements:
- Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or chemistry, and a master’s degree.
- Pertinent industry experience in market research and/or competitive intelligence, and strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
- The candidate should have the ability to work independently, as well as manage teams, and work across different time zones.
- Excellent organization and analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines are required.
Our Energy Practice primarily focuses on conducting in-depth market research and analysis in product sectors such as finished lubricants (industrial and automotive), lubricant basestocks, lubricant additives, synthetic lubricants, metalworking fluids, petroleum waxes, and other related specialty products. The focus for this position will be downstream petroleum, including specialties, where Kline serves most of the world’s leading oil companies.
