The annual ISSA Show in Dallas featured hundreds of exhibitors displaying their latest innovations, including cleaning chemicals, green cleaning products, dry wipers, wet wipes, machinery, floor pads, and dispensers. Rubbermaid was celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Brute trash can, and several large CPG companies expanded their professional offerings. For example, SC Johnson has fully incorporated Deb hand care into its professional cleaning offerings, and Henkel’s commercial cleaning line has been expanded and now includes the Sun, All, and Snuggle brands acquired from Sun Chemicals. Hydro Systems displayed their latest innovations in chemical dispensing systems, and Cascades PRO also displayed it New Era of Clean Tandem professional paper dispensers. Several companies specializing in cloth products featured large displays of both microfiber and nonwoven disposable wet wipes, including Kimberly-Clark Professional, Georgia Pacific, Tork, Essity, Bona, Sontara, 3M, Clorox Professional, Chicopee (Berry Global), and Contec. 3M launched its new Scotch Brite Clean and Shine Pad, which is a two-sided, low-speed scrubber used for the daily cleaning and dustless polishing of floors, saving end users a step in the labor-intensive floor care task. 3M also launched its line of flat wet mops, standard flat mops, and disposable floor mop pads. Spartan Chemical received the Navigator award for Supplier Achievement in Field Sales Excellence from Strategic Market Alliance Group, as voted on by SMA Member Distributors. Earth Friendly Products unveiled its ECOS Pro label, which is a new line of cleaning chemicals designed to be safer for users but tough on dirt. ECOS Pro contains plant-based cleaning products that are non-toxic, readily biodegradable, and free of synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, and phosphates.
