For the last 25 years, the Professional Beauty Show in London has been serving as the beauty platform for industry professionals and clients to learn about new trends in skin care products and their most efficient application. This year, the show brought together more than 600 brands from every area of the industry including skin care, aromatherapy, spa, advanced treatments, nails, makeup, tanning, and equipment, increasing the presence of brands from overseas. Major brands chose Professional Beauty as the platform for their new launches; skin care brand Elemis showcased its first treatment machine Biotec, distributor Louella Belle introduced its latest addition IBX to the nail fanatics, and equipment brand 3D-Lipo showed off the much anticipated 3D-Lipolite system.
The show brought delegates and speakers from across the globe together to network and discuss the hottest topics the spa and beauty industry are facing, provide practical solutions on profitability and effective operation, and identify new markets.
While novelties in skin care products competed for visitors’ attention with the unique offer of skin care benefits, the common focus was on radiance, anti-aging, and rejuvenation for face and body. The Italian company Comfort Zone focused on a holistic approach to skin care treatment, expanding its iconic Skin Regimen line with four new products: eye cream, lip balm, body cream, and body scrub. The Juvenate body range made its debut at the Professional Beauty show, where a team of aestheticians demonstrated detoxifying properties of chia seeds, which are contained in the body scrub, and the slimming action of Matcha Tea in the body cream, recommended for both women and men.
The Aroma Lisse line from Decléor is a new addition for the marketer in 2014, launched together with the celebration of the company’s 40th anniversary. This new range of products is based on mandarin essential oil, which delivers skin anti-aging benefits.
To complete the full body rejuvenation from head to toe, Clarins offered its visitors a body rejuvenation treatment at its best: a soothing back massage topped with a complimentary skin consultation.
The emphasis of the workshops presented at the Professional Beauty Show clearly identified that in 2014 consumers may expect beauty salons and spas to increase their focus on creating a unique experience for their clients. The mind, body, and face will indeed feel rejuvenated!
