Manager - Food & Nutrition, Market Research {London, United Kingdom}


Job Description:

Kline & Company is seeking a highly motivated individual for consideration as Manager of our multi-client research studies in the Food & Nutrition Practice within our market research division.  Nutrition, food, and beverage industry experience is highly preferred. Preferred candidates for this position will possess experience in any of the following sectors, among others: food ingredients, plant proteins, plant meat, cultured meat, clean label/GMO and functional foods.   Experience in benchmarking, competitive intelligence, and market and business research is strongly preferred.  Consulting experience in the food & nutrition sector is a bonus. This position will report to Senior Vice President, Kline Market Research.

As manager, your primary responsibility is to manage multi-client/syndicated study teams in the design, execution, and delivery of research and analysis. You will also:

  • Oversee efforts of the individuals conducting the research and writing of reports
  • Develop/refine scope of studies, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables
  • Drive staff performance to successful completion of studies
  • Assure content and quality of the syndicated studies
  • Review and edit the data and reports for syndicated studies
  • Guide the development of analysis, appraisal and recommendations, oral presentations, and all supporting documentation
  • Occasionally conduct select primary interviews to obtain critical insights and information
  • Maintain and develop client relationships and facilitate work sessions, and presentations as needed
  • Lead pre-survey meetings with charter subscribers
  • Work with sales team to drive revenue growth
  • Provide input for press releases and other marketing communications
  • Speak at conferences and conduct webinars for completed studies
  • Develop and implement new syndicated study topics

Essential Job Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience in market research, project management, and the food and nutrition industry, preferably in a consulting or market research environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multinational team
  • Analytical, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and motivate in a team environment to achieve results that meet or exceed client expectations
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA a plus
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
