Mark De Decker is based in Kline’s Brussels office and is responsible for managing Kline’s Chemicals and Materials practice on a global basis.
He is an experienced consultant, has worked with Kline for more than 30 years and has specific expertise in supervising complex engagements across multiple geographic regions of the world. He is also managing director of Kline’s Belgium office. During his 30 years of consulting, he has been exposed to a wide variety of assignments in chemicals, minerals, polymers, materials, consumer goods, and related fields. His functional expertise includes assisting clients with mapping and identifying business growth opportunities, providing advice for mergers and acquisitions and monitoring and improving client relationships.
Prior to working with Kline, Mark was employed by the United Nations, where he worked on a number of U.N. projects in Africa. He obtained a Master’s degree in geology from the University of Ghent, Belgium.
Mark lives with his wife Lutgart near Ghent. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting old cameras as well as gardening.
