Our consultant bi-lingual (must speak Spanish as well) role will see you unlock trapped value and uncover deep perspectives on the energy and lubricant industry value chain for our clients. In this role, you will find yourself engaging in client discussions to solve complex business problems, analyze key issues, and develop effective solutions.

You will be presented with the opportunity to connect and collaborate across our global network of Knowledge Analysts, along with our Industries and Service Lines business network, to further strengthen the quality of your insights.

Our consultants work closely with the Energy Managers/Directors to support clients and other senior stakeholders, providing thought-provoking insights to help Kline’s clients proactively identify new business opportunities and risks. Over time, you will develop expertise in a specific area and drive research and development of new knowledge as well as contribute to broader knowledge development and proprietary assets. Additionally, you will contribute as an active member of the global energy community and develop relationships around the world to build on your knowledge and provide support to the broader network as needed.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Engaging with client teams, specifically our clients based in Latin America and Kline leaders to provide commercial and provocative perspectives on the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing our clients in the industry.
  • Co-creating insights beyond publicly available information and interacting with industry members and external networks to build proprietary data sets and evidence for differentiated points of view.
  • Providing strong insights using various data analytic/modeling techniques to uncover meaningful insights for our client.
  • Building solid analysis and insights for client engagements and utilizing secondary and primary research methodologies.
  • Leading/contributing to the delivery of strategic and complex projects, often working virtually across teams in different geographies.
  • Developing a credible internal brand to become recognized within Kline as a subject matter expert for the business.
  • Participating in client meetings and assisting in business development activities.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to proactively alert stakeholders regarding changes among key clients and competitors and assess the impact of those changes on internal strategies and plans.
  • Acting as a role model within Kline; championing the use of Kline know-how and methodologies and positively influencing change by leading by example; championing knowledge-sharing behaviors; connecting people; encouraging enterprise-wide sharing; and appropriately leveraging and reusing existing collateral.

Key Requirements:

Education:

  • MBA/Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification preferable
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or related science and applicable relevant work experience can also be considered

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in strategy, business analysis, market research, management consulting or business performance, advising organizations in the energy industry
  • Strong experience in conducting comprehensive secondary (public and paid databases) and primary research on various industries, macro developments, and regions
  • Data modeling and financial modeling proficiency required. Comfortable working with huge datasets
  • Possess strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills, combined with strong business acumen.
  • Capable of putting individual projects/initiatives into a “big picture” context and credible experience working in a fast-moving, client-centric environment.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish with well-structured oral and written communication skills; able to explain difficult concepts in a clear, concise, and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.
  • Ability to take ownership of delivering customized projects with a certain degree of autonomy.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint is absolutely essential.
  • Knowledge of data analytics/visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc., and statistical (including forecasting) techniques such as PCA, regression, cluster analysis, etc., would be a plus.
