The global economy is experiencing severe turmoil for a host of reasons; including the massive drop in the price of oil, the slowdown in growth in China, the concerns about lending and real estate bubbles in China, the economic and financial struggles in Europe, emerging economy travails, and geopolitical challenges in the Middle East.
Eric Vogelsberg is one of the two panelists and experienced chemical industry consultants that will be advising companies worldwide about their perspectives on China, oil prices, and Europe and what they feel the impact has been and is likely to be on the chemical industry. Each speaker will give a presentation followed by a discussion moderated by Peter Young of Young & Partners.
Despite macroeconomic concerns, there are still opportunities for the chemicals industry to flourish. Innovative technologies will spur growth as well as developing markets. It seems as an oddity that an industry may prosper during strenuous economic times, but the chemicals industry seems like it will be able to adapt and perform quite well.
Eric Vogelsberg will be presenting at the Société de Chimie Industrielle Luncheon and Presentation on Wednesday October 21, 2015 in New York City and will take place from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM EDT. The segment is titled China, Oil Prices, and Europe: What Can the Chemical Industry Expect?
