Getting More Beauty Sleep

As consumers turn to a more holistic approach to beauty, health, and wellness, they are understanding that getting enough sleep is important to help combat the aging process, a major concern of at-home beauty device users.

Savvy consumers that incorporate technology and gadgets into their everyday lives are trying new products like sleep tech devices and at-home beauty devices as a solution to bettering themselves. However, despite the strong growth, both markets are small and still considered to be in their infancy.

In fact, in our recently survey conducted survey with 1,300 women from six different countries, most unanimously agreed that aging concerns, such as wrinkles, fine lines, or sagging skin, are areas of improvement for their skin. Even more important is that over half of these women indicated that they are going to fight the aging process as much as they can. Therefore, positioning the at-home beauty devices and sleep technology markets for positive long-term growth, as consumers become more educated about the markets. Education in the market is key as almost half of respondents who have not tried an anti-aging device have not tried such a device because they did not know about them. Consumers are increasingly becoming more enthralled with the idea of personalized treatments. Over half of respondents who do not currently use at-home beauty devices would consider trying a device if it diagnosed the respondent’s areas of concern and offered a personalized approach to treatment. This is a great indication for manufacturers of at-home beauty and sleep devices, who are playing in this new space that links high-priced devices to phone apps, making it easier for consumers to self-diagnose and self-treat. Gone are the days of ever having to step foot into a doctor’s office or spa to solve their skin care and sleep problems.
