Fueled by a relatively stable consumption of cosmetics and toiletries during the crisis, the market is expected to recover quickly with anticipated continued growth at an annual volume rate of 2.6% until 2014.
After a difficult period, the ingredients trends when price was the key purchasing criteria, and is once again influenced by the return of innovation as a key buying factor for formulators creating an opportunity for suppliers to develop more added values and take market shares from established products. Among other trends, the largest growth expected is in the “green” product area.
