Last night I had the pleasure to meet with a group of soon-to-be graduates of FIT’s (Fashion Institute of Technology) Master’s in Professional Studies, Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management. I came to speak with them about beauty and mass retail, the topic for their Capstone (thesis) presentation which is sponsored by Target!
As the market has been growing at a very slow pace, the group was interested to learn about where trends and opportunities lie for mass marketers as well as in the naturals and cosmeceuticals segments and how they might benefit Target. Boy… what a bright and eager group of women. I was overwhelmed by their thirst for knowledge and hope that they really WOW everyone on May 19th at their Capstone presentation.
