Job Description:

Our Manufacturing Competitiveness Practice primarily focuses on conducting proprietary competitive intelligence assessments of manufacturing operations and process technologies on a global basis across chemical & related process industries and CPG/consumer healthcare industries with focus on detailed manufacturing cost analysis, P&L assessment, comparative technology assessment, and manufacturing process improvement.

Kline & Company currently seeks professionals with management consulting/competitive intelligence and/or industry experience; preferably in manufacturing in the chemicals industry that are team players, high-energy, enthusiastic, hard working and flexible with the ability to work effectively across industry segments and service offerings. As a member of the Management Consulting group, your primary responsibility will be to develop and analyze market, competitive, and technical information and insights for client engagements that support the critical and strategic decisions our clients are facing. A key differentiator of our approach is a heavy emphasis on gathering insights via primary research.

Job Responsibilities:

As an integral part of the project team, you will be expected to utilize tools to better comprehend key businesses and to develop strategic recommendations for our clients including:

  • Synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data in order to address clients’ key issues effectively
  • Managing individual project workstreams and possibly project analysts and/or consultants depending upon the level
  • Conducting primary interviews with selected industry and regulatory sources
  • Developing and analyzing data from primary and secondary sources to generate strategic insights and answer key strategic questions our clients are facing
  • Interpreting findings including making financial and, if necessary, engineering calculations
  • Writing interim and final client reports and presentations
  • Presenting and clearly articulating our findings to our clients

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have up to 5 years of experience in management consulting and/or manufacturing with excellent analytical, data modeling, communication, and presentation skills. A B.S. in engineering or chemistry combined with an MBA is preferred.
