Kline Market Research Sales – Business Development Manager {London, UK}


Job Description:

Kline & Company is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Business Development role in our Central London office. The role is composed of 75% new business development and 25% account management. The ideal candidate should be a true hunter by nature: driven, self-motivated and excited about selling! We require 2 to 5 years of proven success in B2B sales, new business development, prospecting, client relations and/or lead generation. The candidate should possess a working knowledge of high-end market research, consultation services and multi-client studies (syndicated reports).  Travel is required (up to 25%).

Job Responsibilities:

The main objective of this role is to identify and develop new accounts for Kline’s Energy (Downstream Petroleum) and Consumer Practices in the UK and Continental Europe. The individual will be responsible for developing & executing a sales strategy to successfully sell our reports to industry suppliers as well as financial institutions, ad agencies, media agencies and consulting firms in the region. The chosen candidate will be responsible for prospecting, pitching and closing to new accounts. The candidate should have a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Prospecting, targeting and developing new accounts
  • Achieving individual sales targets and forecasting individual sales
  • Prepare and confidently lead presentations to senior (Director, Management, C-Level) prospects, both in-person and over the phone
  • Selling high-end B2B products or services

Skills

  • Prepare and confidently lead presentations to senior (Director, Management, C-Level) prospects, both in-person and over the phone
  • Negotiation and management of the full sales process and closing deals independently
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, organized, and results-oriented
  • Experience in consultative selling
  • Ability to sell solutions rather than products
  • Outstanding and effective prospecting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, experience with web-ex and Salesforce

Education

BS or BA is required; Advanced Education in a relevant field is a plus.
