2025 Top-Selling Hair Care Products in U.S. Salons

Professional Hair Care Brands With Sustained Leadership in U.S. Salons

  • Pureology stands out with three leading items across essential hair care categories such as shampoo, conditioner, and treatment, driven by strong performance in color care, the largest revenuegenerating segment of professional hair care. As a brand rooted in color protection, Pureology continues to resonate strongly in U.S. salons.
  • Olaplex reclaims the leading position in hair styling after a brief pause last year, while also leading the shine segment.
  • Amika is the #1 dry shampoo, for the fifth year in a row.

Noteworthy Spaces in Professional Hair Care

  • Scalp care is an increasingly important space in professional hair care, reflecting heightened salon and consumer focus on scalp health. Paul Mitchell’s Tea Tree Special Shampoo leads scalp care for the fifth consecutive year.
  • Bond-building continues to hold strong relevance as damage repair remains the top consumer priority for consumers amid frequent chemical services and heat styling. Olaplex and Redken remain firmly in focus within professional salons, with Redken extending its bonding proposition into curl care last year, signaling the growing intersection of repair and texture-focused routines.

New Segment Leaders in Professional Hair Care

  • Aveda Men Pure-Formance Grooming Clay reemerges as a winner, with the top spot in men’s segment, following its earlier win in 2023.
  • Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray takes over the top spot in thermal care, replacing Redken, which had held the leading position since 2022.
  • After debuting as a newcomer last year, Aveda Be Curly Advanced emerges as the new leader in curl care, replacing Moroccanoil’s item, which had led the segment for two consecutive years.

Best New Product Lines in Professional Hair Care
